About Cherie

I’m Cherie, a diversity thought leader and a Certified Adult Chair® Coach.

I offer workshops, professional coaching and a membership program that provides monthly career growth coaching programs. I also help leaders get the benefits of a diverse and inclusive business – innovation and profitability –- by creating  customized programs and strategies that helps companies overcome the obstacles to an inclusive culture.

Do you want a more inclusive workplace/ world? Want freedom from the stereotypes that exist about you?  Want the emotional freedom from wearing a mask? Are  you a leader that  wants employees to be empowered and unleashed to give their best and to achieve the business benefits that come from having an inclusive workplace?

You understand that even the best athletes have a coach, and you want to have someone outside the organization to talk freely with.

As a former executive and a person at the intersection of multiple identities, I know all too well the things that women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people and others have experienced in corporate America. As a woman of multiple identities, I was able to obtain executive roles in wonderful organizations. These organizations were filled with humans that – as all humans do – had unconscious biases and sometimes committed microaggressions, insults, insensitive or hurtful acts. Navigating these situations and dealing with the internalized issues that arose from systemic inequities were skills that I developed.

For as long as I can remember, “I have a dream” and “the content of their character” have been embedded in my being.  I call myself a peace-stirrer, a person that stirs up honest dialogue and presents multiple points of view.  To me, being a peace-stirrer means walking through conflict to bring down walls that can divide us as people, so that we can better see our similarities and appreciate our differences. I've always had a passion for an inclusive, collaborative and just world, and I’m here to make a difference.

As a result, I wanted to provide a place where those of us that have been othered can NOT ONLY have someone to talk to and gain freedom from internalized issues due to inequities around race, gender, LGBTQ+ identities, differing abilities, and more BUT ALSO get some REAL solutions to help you gain more equity in corporate America in regards to pay, promotions, and job search capabilities.

My Professional Background

I’m an Executive Human Resources Leader who has had the opportunity to gain global experiences while working for Fortune 100 corporations. I’ve also experienced start-up operations, turn-around situations and workforce reorganizations. My leaders considered me a strategic thought leader and business partner with success in growing revenue, optimizing headcount/footprint and managing cost-reductions while minimizing legal exposure. Individuals, senior leaders and their teams have shared that my inspirational leadership and coaching style is motivating and helped them achieve higher levels of effectiveness.

I decided to spotlight Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and expanded my focus to build a more inclusive world. I also joined Salesloft as their Head of DE&I. As the  former Region Vice President of Human Resources for Comcast NBC Universal, I led the Human Resources function for a $5 billion revenue-business, spanning 7 states, across 100+ physical locations and a workforce of 5,600 employees. I created successful leadership development programs and coached executives.  In addition I’ve held executive roles at Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot and other companies. “Everything in my life was changing.  At 60 years young, I was writing my dissertation, searching for a job and transitioning to Florida. My daughter was getting married. My son was on his own, and my husband was retiring. And, all of these parts were moving at the same time. I needed a Coach. Not just any coach, I needed someone who was self-aware, emotionally intelligent, a good communicator, respectful and compassionate and considered coaching a calling. I found all of this and more in Cherie. She listened, helped me prioritize my life, assisted me with reformatting my resume and motivated me to use my time better in an effort to tackle my life pieces.

I would highly recommend Cherie to anyone in need of a dedicated, compassionate coach.”
